Our Yellowstone family vacations begin with a
half-day paddling adventure along the coast of the impressive Yellowstone
Lake. Located in the heart of the worlds first national
park, it is a geothermal lake, and one of the continents largest
mountain lakes. After a quick swap of our kayaks for rafts, we will
then follow the Snake River through Grand
Teton National Park. Our family vacations will give you
the chance to travel more than 60 miles through some of the most
impressive scenery in North America—having traveled from the
center of Yellowstone National Park to the southernmost boundary of
neighboring Grand Teton National Park.
The second segment of our Grand Teton family
vacations will take you to Jackson Lake, where the sounds of the
wilderness are most clear, ensuring a unique and peaceful experience
miles away from the congestion of Grand Teton National Park. This
portion of our kayaking excursion is a versatile outdoor family
adventure in full view of the outstanding Tetons. Our family vacations
will give you the chance to paddle through the morning mist as the sun
rises around you, watching wildlife in grassy meadows and glens along
the river, camping at isolated campsites – where your not
likely to see another human being– our family vacations truly
capture the wild splendor of Wyoming's pure backcountry.
The concluding portion of our Yellowstone family vacations will take
you along for a 10-mile float on the Snake River . Our family vacations
feature rafts, which are skillfully maneuvered by your guides through
the network of the Snake River's intertwined channels. Sightings of the
abundant wildlife are frequent as we move far above the floor of the
valley. Bear, bison, moose, muskrat, beaver and bald eagle all
regularly frequent this area. Stunning views of the Tetons, the
youngest yet most jagged range of the Rocky Mountains, change as we
follow each new the twist and turns of the river's
passage—each bend offering a new chance to snap a few photos.
