Whitmore Wash to Lake Mead?
Our family adventure vacations will offer a
great introduction to the canyon for those who don't have the time for
a longer trip or who are looking for an introductory river tour. Our
family adventure vacations to the Grand Canyon begin with a flight from
Las Vegas to one of Arizona's oldest working cattle ranches, Bar 10
Ranch. Located on the northern rim of the Grand Canyon, the ranch
boasts many activities including horseback riding, skeet shooting,
hiking, ATV riding (additional charge), and more. The next day you fly
into the canyon via helicopter where we board the boats. This stretch
of the Colorado offers broader, more open views of the Canyon and
contains relatively humble rapids compared to the giants found
upstream. These family adventure vacations will allow you to float
through spectacular scenery in the Hurricane fault zone prior to
heading west into the majesty of the Lower Granite Gorge. On the last
morning you'll board a jet boat to take you past the Grand Wash Cliffs
and on to Lake Mead.
